The all-new Kinetic DX electric scooter, launched by Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltdāthe EV wing of the legendary Kinetic Groupāis priced at ā¹1.11 lakh for the standard version and ā¹1.17 lakh for the DX+, bringing the beloved DX into the electric age. The new model blends nostalgia with a modern twist, drawing design inspiration from the classic Kinetic Honda DX rather boldly. Kinetic’s retro aesthetic gets a modern facelift with a unique LED headlamp flanked by logo-shaped DRLs and refreshed body panels.
A 4.8kW BLDC motor mounted on the hub powers the Kinetic DX, alongside a 2.6kWh LFP battery offering an IDC-certified 116km range. The scooter awaits ARAI certification but flaunts a top speed of 90km/h and features three riding modesāRange, Power, and Turboāalongside a reverse assist mode for effortless parking. The DX boasts modern tech such as cruise control and hill hold assist, along with a large 8.8-inch digital display and Bluetooth-enabled speakers with a keyless ignition system.
Its Easy Charge system stands out remarkably, housing the charger within the scooter for added convenience. The premium DX+ trim boosts functionality with the Telekinetic telematics suite, offering smart features like geo-fencing and vehicle tracking, alongside Find My Kinetic functionality. Buyers get a standard 3-year warranty or 30,000km coverage, extendable up to 9 years or over 1,00,000km.
Bookings are now open for the first 40,000 customers, and they’re going fast. The Kinetic DX will face off against numerous EV rivals, including the Bajaj Chetak Electric, TVS iQube, and Ola S1 Pro very aggressively.
