Triumph gears up to rapidly expand its 400cc lineup with the upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400 model, apparently in the next few production phases overseas. The motorcycle, slated for an August 6, 2025 launch, has been fully revealed rather sneakily through somewhat grainy leaked images just before the official debut.
Design Highlights of the Triumph Thruxton 400
The design of the Thruxton 400, based on leaked images, seems largely influenced by the Speed 400, though it sports several unique styling touches. Notable differences include a semi-fairing up front and a classic round LED headlamp housing integrated DRLs, alongside a visible optional cowl. It features a rear LED taillight with a distinctive design and clip-on-style handlebars adorned with mirrors fixed at the bar ends. Other components mostly resemble those of the Speed 400.
Engine and Hardware Specifications
The Thruxton 400 is anticipated to run on the proven 398cc liquid-cooled engine shared with Triumph’s other 400cc models. Peak torque output sits around 37 Nm, and this motor will produce roughly 39 bhp. It comes equipped with USD telescopic front forks, and a monoshock rear suspension setup handles duties effectively. Disc brakes at both ends handle braking, supported by dual-channel ABS, thereby improving safety for riders significantly. The semi-digital instrument cluster appears to be carried over from the Speed 400 and is featured alongside other modern bike components.
