Toyota has rolled out two key updates for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor — a sleek new Bluish Black colour and six airbags now included as standard in all models.
Henceforth, all the variants E, S, S+, G, and V will now have dual front, two side, and two curtain airbags for better safety.
The majority of variants have seen a price revision of ₹12,000, whereas the S+ variant has undergone a smaller increase of ₹8,000. The Taisor now has a starting price of ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and still provides a 3-year/1,00,000km warranty, which is extendable to 5 years/2,20,000km. Under the hood, the Urban Taisor keeps things familiar with two petrol engines: the 1.2-litre K-Series that makes 89bhp and 113Nm, and the zippy 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 99bhp and 147.6Nm. You can stick to the classic 5-speed manual, go easy with the 5-speed AMT, or enjoy the smooth shifts of the 6-speed automatic.
The Taisor’s urban features still include LED headlamps with twin DRLs, a dual-tone interior, a 9-inch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AC vents for the second row, cruise control, and wireless charging.
