Xiaomi unveiled the budget-friendly Redmi Pad 2 in India on June 18, 2025. The tablet supports a stylus and protective cover as optional accessories in both Wi-Fi and Cellular variants.
The Redmi Pad 2 boasts an 11-inch 2.5K display sporting a 90 Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of 600 nits with wet touch functionality. A robust 9,000 mAh battery fuels it, and an 18 W charger supports extended usage.
Quad speakers boasting Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support deliver rich sound from this tablet alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack for enthusiasts. Performance, driven by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra processor, operates swiftly alongside up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Running on HyperOS, Xiaomi’s unique system built on Android 15, the device offers an optimized software experience.
Camera features comprise an 8 MP rear sensor and a 5 MP front camera sensor positioned on the device. The Redmi Pad 2 integrates generative AI capabilities such as circle-based search functionality seamlessly alongside other novel features.
Pricing starts at ₹13,999 for the Wi-Fi-only model in Grey or Blue with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Wi-Fi + Cellular versions cost ₹15,999 for 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and ₹17,999 for 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage. Sales commence on June 24 via Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, and Xiaomi’s various retail outlets nationwide, both online and offline.
