Skoda India expansion strategy is now aimed at tier-2 and tier-3 cities, reflecting the company’s ambition to strengthen its presence in the Indian automotive market. The company operates 260 touchpoints across 150 cities and plans rapid expansion into 200 cities with 350 touchpoints by year-end nationwide.

Skoda’s Kylaq model has driven significant brand growth recently upon entering the sub-Rs. 10 lakh segment with considerable success already garnered. Skoda is considering introducing a CNG powertrain combined with a turbo-petrol engine to strengthen its position amid intensifying competition in its growing and diverse vehicle lineup. Diversifying powertrain options could further turbocharge the company’s growth in fiercely price-conscious India, where buyers prioritize maximum value for their money.
