Hero MotoCorp has quietly refreshed its Xtreme 125R lineup in India by introducing the Hero Xtreme 125R single-seat variant. With an ex-showroom Delhi price of ₹1 lakh, this model slots neatly between the split-seat IBS at ₹98,425 and the split-seat ABS at ₹1.02 lakh. The single-seat model costs ₹2,000 less than the top-end split-seat ABS version—enough to cover a tank of fuel and a quick roadside tea.
Other than the new seat, the bike still packs the same features and mechanics, right down to the familiar hum of its engine. The one-piece seat should make rides more comfortable for both the rider and the passenger, though it does give up a bit of the sharp, sporty look you get with a split seat.
Beneath its bodywork, the Xtreme 125R still runs the same 124.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine found in the Hero Glamour X 125, a motor that hums with a steady, low thrum. The motor puts out 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, all running through a smooth five-speed gearbox.
In India, the Hero Xtreme 125R goes head-to-head with bikes like the TVS Raider 125, the Honda CB 125 Hornet, and the Bajaj Pulsar N125, all jostling for attention on crowded city streets.
