Updated Tata Punch EV

Tata Motors just introduced new updates to the Tata Punch EV, its smallest electric SUV, adding a bit more spark to the lineup. The model now offers a wider range of colors—ranging from deep midnight blue to soft pearl white—and charges faster than before. On the design side, the Punch EV now comes in two fresh shades—Supernova Copper and Pure Grey—joining the existing lineup of Empowered Oxide, Seaweed, Fearless Red, Daytona Grey, and a bright, clean Pristine White.

The real leap, though, comes in charging speed—you can go from nearly empty to almost full before your coffee cools. Plug a Long Range model into a 50kW DC fast charger, and it’ll jump from 10 to 80 percent in about 40 minutes—or give you 90 km of driving range in just 15 minutes, about the time it takes to grab a coffee.

For context, Tata offers the Punch EV with a choice of two batteries: a 25kWh pack, or a 35kWh pack dedicated to the Long Range model. They’re paired with a single electric motor and deliver 265 km or 365 km of range, depending on the version, based on the MIDC Part 1 + Part 2 test cycle.
