In India, Tecno has launched the Tecno Pova Slim 5G, which it says is the world’s thinnest curved-display 5G phone—sleek enough to slip into a shirt pocket without a bulge. At just 5.95mm thick and 156g, the device slips easily into a pocket, edging out the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s 5.8mm and 163g.
The phone packs a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that refreshes at a swift 144Hz, reaches up to 4,500 nits under bright sun, and is shielded by tough Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. On the back, the camera module features a one-of-a-kind Dynamic Mood Light LED strip that also flashes softly when you get a notification.
It’s a slim handset, yet it packs MIL-STD 810H toughness, an IP64 seal against dust and splashes, and a 5,160mAh battery with 45W fast charging—beating the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900mAh cell by a wide margin. At its core, the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC powers the device, though rival phones such as the Moto G86 use higher-performing chipsets.
The phone has a dual rear camera—50MP and 2MP—plus a sharp 13MP lens on the front for selfies. The Pova Slim integrates Tecno’s Ella AI assistant, supporting Indian languages and bundling in handy features like AI Writing, AI Image Editing, Circle to Search, and Privacy Blurring to enhance usability.
The device supports 5G+ and can combine multiple carrier signals for faster speeds, like pulling in two strong streams of data at once. The Pova Slim is sold in just one version—8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, plus support for another 8GB of virtual RAM—and you can pick it up in Sky Blue, Slim White, or a deep, glossy Cool Black.
